I work as an Investigative Journalist since 2015 for the Ravaya newspaper in Sri Lanka. it is an alternative Sinhala newspaper in Sri Lanka. I also work as a time to time freelance photojournalist for the local and international media.  My intention is to draw attention of responsible parties to the voice of the people affected by economic, social or political issues through accurate and timely reporting. Usually I write and shoot pictures for my stories.
I have been awarded as the Social Development Reporter of the year at the Journalism Awards Excellence 2018 organized by the Editors’ Guild of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Press Institute. and also I have been awarded for under the category of Mass Media, News and Sports at the State Festival of Photography in Sri Lanka in 2018,
2017 and another several awards.
